Useful information

Description

This stately Italianate mansion became famous for being a crime scene. Its resident, antiques dealer Jim Williams, was accused of killing 21-year-old Danny Hansford. Jim Williams's murder trial set staid Savannah on its ear, and was later immortalised in John Berendt's best-seller, Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil. Jim Williams had collected a mass of antiques and objets d'art, which you can examine as you visit the ground floor of the residence - now a museum.
