Description
This open-air museum seeking to revisit the Meiji and Taisho era has some 60 meticulously reconstructed buildings divided into four sectors (town, farm, fishing village and mountain village). Visitors can gain an insight into what life was like in the early days of the island's colonisation. You can get around the 54ha site in a horse-drawn cart in summer or a sledge in winter.
