Description
The church was built in the 16C over the ruins of a Byzantine chapel on a Greek-cross plan crowned with domes. The interior is decorated with superb stuccowork in the style of Serpotta. Just in front of the church and the neighbouring museum, a series of Greek water tanks and the remains of a floor from the 2C-3C can be seen.
