Description
A fine four-storey building, with mahogany and granite floors, is home to the only general art museum in Utah. The vast and eclectic permanent collection ranges from the 15C to the present day and encompasses 17 000 European, American and regional works of art, including academic paintings (18C and 19C) extolling the new nation and its elites, as well as paintings celebrating the great, still-untouched spaces of the American West. Pacific, African and Asian arts are also on display.
