A tour of these two traditional shepherd's huts (burons) will teach you all about the history of the Salers cow, the daily life of the shepherds (buronniers), how Salers cheese is made and, finally, how its eponymous gentian-based liqueur is produced (it has been distilled by the Labounoux family since 1885). At the end of the visit, following an interesting short film, you will have an opportunity to taste these delicious local products.
