Description

Founded in 1663 by the Quebec Seminary, Laval University began construction of a campus in the western suburb of Quebec City in 1949. The university expanded considerably in the 1960s and today the campus is home to around 30 buildings, including the Pavillon Louis-Jacques Casault (the former seminary) built in 1958, as well as an Olympic-size swimming pool, a covered stadium, ice rinks and numerous sports pitches.
