Description
Old Sacramento is the largest and best preserved of America's old towns, and despite numerous visitors, you easily feel like you're in the Far West. Raised and covered boardwalks, buildings with pediments and saloons left over from the gold rush form a remarkably homogeneous backdrop, with souvenir shops and restaurants. The fascinating California State Railroad Museum charts the epic history of the railroads.
