Description

This monumental Anglo-Saxon cross dating from the late 7C-early 8C is a rare testimonial to the conquest of southern Scotland by the Angles, a Germanic tribe after whom England is named. Lively and realistic sculptures relate the story of the life and Passion of Christ.
