Built by Sir Thomas Hesketh, who lived here from 1416-1458, this manor is one of the finest 15C houses in Lancashire. The great hall has a fine ceiling. The Charles I wing was rebuilt in 1662. It contains furniture, weapons and armour and a folk museum.
