The pedestrian Rue du Gros Horloge is one of the most picturesque of historic Rouen with its old cobblestones and lovely 15-17C half-timbered houses. It is also one of the liveliest thanks to countless shops. It is straddled by a Renaissance archway home to the single-handed clock, and flanked by the belfry.
