Useful information

Description

Designed by the Anglo-Iraqi architect Zaha Hadid, with an emphasis on curved shapes and a black and white colour scheme, this museum is home to the MAXXI foundation. The rooms housing the temporary exhibitions (plastic arts, architecture and photography) are original, with rounded walls and huge spaces, while on the ground floor two rooms from the old building are dedicated to photography and architecture. Giant sculptures and installations brighten the huge tree-planted courtyard.
