Useful information

Description

The modern thoroughfare of Via Flaminia follows the old road built by Flaminius in 200 BC. Following the present Via del Corso from the city centre, the old Roman road led to Rimini on the Adriatic Sea, running in an almost straight line for 314km/196mi. Standing along the northern stretch of Via Flaminia, the Stadio Flaminio was built in 1959 by Pier Luigi Nervi to host the 1960 Olympic Games.
