Useful information

Description

The Palazzo dei Conservatori, built in the 15C to house the meetings of the Conservators (magistrates who governed the town with the Senators), was altered in 1568 according to Michelangelo's designs, as was the Palazzo Nuovo, an identical palace built in 1654. These two buildings house the collections of the Capitoline Museums.
