The current pink sandstone building was completed in 1277. The impressive façade, with a fortress-like appearance, was originally a stronghold built ahead of the city wall. Remarkable in that it is detached from the cathedral, the magnificent 14C bell tower stands 87m tall and has six storeys. Inside, note the 15C pews by André Sulpice, a fine stone enclosure wall, rood screen from 1470 and a superbly carved organ case.
