Description
The 1908 Mackay School of Mines is a preeminent school of mining engineering. Specimens of Nevada minerals and fossils line the walls of its Keck Museum, illustrating Nevada's role as a leader in this field. The Mackay silver collection in the basement recalls the role of John Mackay (1831-1902) as one of the Comstock "Bonanza Kings."
