Useful information

Description

Built by Theodoric between 493 and 526, this basilica has a nave and two aisles separated by Corinthian columns. It is decorated with superb mosaics on a golden background arranged in three sections. The two upper sections date from the time of Theodoric, while the lower section was re-done under Justinian, who removed all reference to Arianism.
