Useful information

Description

Rance was famous for its marble industry and red-marble (now disused) quarry. The National Marble Museum occupies the former town hall. It recalls the origins of marble, types of marble found in Belgium and mining and polishing techniques, including a marble polishing demonstration. Rance's church is adorned with many works carved in local marble.
