Description
This cathedral is a harmonious combination of the Romanesque and Gothic styles. Don't miss the external circular pulpit, from which the Holy Girdle was presented to the crowds. The restored frescoes in the Cappella Maggiore depict the lives of St John the Baptist and St Stephen and are some of the most outstanding works by Filippo Lippi. The most famous scene depicts Herod's Feast with Salome's Dance which was completed by Filippo's apprentice, Botticelli.
