Useful information

Description

In the early 20C, Josef Chochol (1880-1956), an architect specialising in the Czech cubist style, was commissioned to design a group of houses at the foot of Vysehrad Fortress. A first row of three fine houses stands on rasínovo Quay. Libusina Street boasts the Villa Kovarovic, surrounded by a remarkably inventive Cubist garden. There are two more buildings on Neklanova Street, one inspired by the star-shaped vaults characteristic of Neo-Gothic architecture in Bohemia.
