Description

In an imposing building at the top of Wenceslas Square is home to the National Museum. On the initiative of Count Kasparn von Sternberg, whose ambition was to showcase the science and history of Bohemia, it was founded in 1885 to present the wealth of exhibits collected since the early 19C. The restored museum tackles a variety of themes, ranging from the history of the city and the Czech Republic to natural history.
