Useful information

Description

The extraordinary Adria Palace, built between 1922 and 1924 on Národní Trída (National Avenue), is the most ambitious project ever realised in the early 1920s' Rondocubist style specific to Czechoslovakia. The building housed the famous Laterna Magika Theatre at basement level (nowadays Za Bránou II Theatre), accessed via a superbly decorated passageway. In the palace, stop at the terrace of the Adria Café, which offers a fine view over the New Town.
