Description
Next to the birthplace of Antonio Canova (1757‑1822) the Gipsoteca Canoviana is a must-see! This huge gallery holds almost all of the plaster casts made by the sculptor prior to making the marble versions, in a way the "originals" of his sculptures. Walking among these works that are shown off by a white space bathed in diaphanous light provokes a strange and magnificent sensation.
