Description
This convent, founded in the 16C, is home to the Christ of the Miracles which attracts crowds of pilgrims on the feast day of Santo Cristo, including many emigrants who return here for the occasion. The Baroque-style abbey church houses a fine gilded altarpiece and 18C azulejos by António de Oliveira Bernardes.
