Description
Built in 1171 by Gualdim Pais, Grand Master of the Order of Knights Templar, this castle was altered in the 16C. From the top of the ramparts dominated by a castellated keep the view looks down over Pombal to the west and over the foothills of the Serra de Lousã to the east.
