Description
Opened in 1962, the telecommunications centre of Pleumeur-Boudou is the historic site of the first transatlantic communication between France and the United States by the Telstar satellite on July 11 1962. The fascinating history of the radôme is brought to life by a sound and light show that illustrates the full dimension of this unique antenna, now a listed monument. A museum, giant antenna and a science garden complete the offer of this amusing and pedagogical site.
