A charming square-shaped lake, lined by majestic trees, Ba Om is an important spiritual site as well as a romantic spot. South of the lake, amid palm trees, stands the magnificent pagoda Vat Angkor Icha Borei (Chua Samrong Ek), the origins of which date back to the 10C. Inside, coloured frescoes relating the life of the Buddha decorate the walls, while the wooden framework and pillars are painted with elegant gilded motifs.
