Description
Like the neighbouring Our Lady of the Rocks Church, this 12C monastery is surrounded by the enchanting waters of the Boka. Golden stones and red tiles add a beautiful and picturesque touch to the scene. This sublime setting was of course once a strategic point: the Verige Strait. Through the loopholes, Benedictine monks didn't hesitate to defend Perast and Kotor from Turkish and Saracen invasions.
