Description
In the whitewashed village of Remédios, admire the chapel of Nossa Senhora dos Remédios, with its small hexagonal bell tower, at the end of a small courtyard planted with monkey puzzle trees. The interior is covered with attractive 18C azulejos attributed to the workshop of António de Oliveira Bernardes. To the right, note the Nativity and the Visitation, and, to the left, the Presentation of Jesus at the Temple. The ceiling is decorated with the scene of the Assumption.
