Description

This museum houses a fine collection of pre-Roman and Roman exhibits discovered in the Parma region, as well as the tabula alimentaria of Veleia, a giant slab of bronze bearing the engravings of measures taken in 103 by Emperor Trajan relating to the establishment of a hypothecary fund (alimenta) for poor children.
