Description

A Y-shape resting on piles; ribbed concrete dividing walls covered by a roof in the shape of an accordion; underground floors lit up by six deep patios: this is the way the headquarters for UNESCO looks, designed by three architects, Breuer, Nervi and Zehrfuss in 1958. A large number of artists contributed to the decoration of the premises: Picasso, Miro, Bazaine, Calder and Henry Moore whose La Silhouette au repos lines Suffren Avenue.
