Useful information

Description

This elegant museum illustrates the history of noble and chivalrous orders from pre-Revolutionary France through numerous documents and video presentations, as well as highlighting the establishment of the Legion of Honour by the First Consul Bonaparte (19 May 1802). The displays here include military and civil decorations and orders from France and overseas. The Order of the Elephant, the inkstand of King Jérôme, and the pendant of the Order of St Michael are of particular note.
