Mills of Pantin
The Green Guide

Useful information

Description

These buildings are emblematic of the presence of industry on the doorstep of Paris and of a high-quality reconversion. Founded in 1884, the Mills of Pantin were the main suppliers of flour to Paris. Rebuilt several times between 1912 and 1925 and burnt to the ground in 1944, they have since been acquired by BNP Paribas. Part of the preserved buildings on the canal side overlook the former silo (34.5m high); on the right is the water tower.
