Set in a splendid secondary forest, the peninsula of Pangandara is a nature reserve, rich in flora, among which the rafflesia, a smaller cousin of that of Sumatra, the largest flower in the world. Other sights include stags, calaos (birds) and macaques. A boat tour (45min) around the isthmus will take you to a white sandy beach, Pasir Putih, and a waterfall. At sunset, bats hunting for food invade the beach, providing an amazing sight.
