Description
Long and pointed as a dagger, this island off the Velebit coast is quite unique, with its harsh desert of white stone dissected by a thousand low walls. The island's attractions include beaches hidden between the rare grassy slopes grazed by sheep and donkeys, tiny ports tucked away beneath the cliffs, and a few olive groves. Local men live off the land and the sea, making salt and cheese, while women make lace. Don't miss the salt marshes and the charming village of Lun.
