The Michelin Guide's review
Montana's Salish, Kootenai and Kalispel tribes reside on this 5 030 km2 reservation that was drawn up in 1855. Mostly farm and range land, it encompasses the southern half of Flathead Lake and the Mission Mountains. Every July, traditional celebrations offer visitors the chance to see American Indian dancing, music and games.
