Description
Built by Antonelli in the 19C, this monumental neo-Classical cathedral preceded by a peristyle with a double colonnade completely engulfed the early Christian baptistry (4C) which originally stood here. Inside the building, a section of mosaic flooring depicting Adam and Eve and the four flowers of Eden can still be seen. Don't miss the Mystical Wedding of St Catherine by Gaudenzio Ferrari.
