Punctuated by three squares, each with its own church, this is the main street in Noto. It starts at Porta Reale, a monumental 19C triumphal arch surmounted by a pelican and on either side a tower (symbolising power) and a greyhound (symbolising fidelity). Beyond, a boulevard lined with trees (palms and bougainvillea) and busts precedes a fine public garden, popular among the locals as a meeting place.
