Description

This cathedral is dedicated to St Patrick and St Colman, and was the first Catholic cathedral built in Ireland at the time of the Act of Emancipation (1829). On the exterior, Thomas Duff mixed (1825) gothic and Tudor styles; the tower and transept date back to 1888; the interior decoration, with stained glass windows and mosaics, is later.
