Description
The largest private university in the United States is also the second largest landowner in the city, after the Roman Catholic Church. Washington Square is its most iconic and historic landmark. Among its faculties, New York University includes the prestigious Tisch School of the Arts, with famous names such as Woody Allen, Joel Coen, Martin Scorsese, Jim Jarmusch and Ang Lee among its former pupils. The university also boasts numerous Nobel and Pulitzer prize winners.
