Description
A tour around the northern half of the island of Naxos introduces you to a few sites that are worth seeing: the fortified monastery Ipsilotera (17C), formerly the strongest fortress on the island; the seaside resort of Apollonas, overlooking a little harbour; the archaic Kouros, a 10m-long stone colossus lying in a quarry; the kouros of Flerio in Mili; the Cycladic village of Koronos; the monastery of Panagia Drosiani and its very old frescoes.
