Description

The House of Friendship between Peoples, set in a garden, is the most interesting residence on Ulitsa Vozdvizhenka. Architect Viktor Mazyrin built it in the late 19C for the artist Alexander Morozov (1835-1904). It sports an astonishing Moorish-style complete with swirling ropes, anchors and scallop shells! Pena Palace near Sintra, Portugal, may have served as the model for this amazing pastiche.
