Useful information

Description

Opened to the public in 1876, the city's first urban park was designed by American landscape architect Frederick Law Olmsted, creator of New York City's Central Park. A genuine nature reserve, the park is home to a wide diversity of flora and fauna, as well as a lake, two lookout points commanding fine views of the city, a chalet/visitor's centre and numerous winding paths.
