Useful information

Description

After purchasing the island of St Helen in 1818, the British government erected a citadel. Today the latter has become is the Stewart Museum, devoted to the history of European settlement in Quebec. The entirely renovated museum now features a section entitled "History and Memory" and relates five centuries of Quebec history through 500 objects out of a collection of some 27,000, among which some superb maps. An interactive scale model piloted by tactile screens relates the history of Montreal.
