Useful information

Description

Completed in the 1960s, Place Ville-Marie became the centrepiece of Montreal's underground city, before the extension of the network around McGill subway station. Inspired by New York's Rockefeller Center, the project became the model for other similar urban complexes throughout the country. The four-building complex is dominated by I.M. Pei's 42-storey Banque Royale Tower (1962).
