Description
This museum has a varied collection of local interest, most notably several votive stelae dedicated to the Celtic goddess Nehalennia. Fine 16C tapestries commemorate naval victories over the Spanish. Local silverware and furniture feature among the decorative arts exhibits, alongside Chinese porcelain and Delftware. The paintings collection features works by artists drawn to Zeeland for inspiration (J and V Toorop, J van Heemskerch) and contemporary local art is also represented.
