Description
Inaugurated in 2012, this museum celebrating Yucatec Mayan culture occupies a building that looks as if it were inspired by Beijing's "bird's nest". Its archaeological exhibitions, as well as its presentation of the peninsula's geology and the great periods in Yucatán's history won't fail to capture your imagination. Don't miss: the jade offerings from the sacred well of Chichén Itzá and a superb painted fragment of the vault of Ek-Balam Temple depicting a noble Mayan.
