Description
The Salle des Mariages (wedding hall) in the Italianate town hall was decorated by Jean Cocteau on the theme of Orpheus and Eurydice. Cocteau himself chose the furniture: the palm-shaped candelabras, Spanish-inspired chairs and a panther motif for the carpet. He also drew the engraved Mariannes on the mirrors at the rear of the room.
