This lush valley of meadow and marsh is the ideal place to observe wildlife. Hayden Valley is home to large herds of bison, moose and elk... you feel like you're in the American West before European settlement. In spring and early summer, bears emerge from their dens to hunt bison and elk and feed on their vulnerable new-borns. The rangers are often happy to share their spotting scope with visitors - make the most of it!
