Useful information

Description

The present Luxembourg railway station was built in 1913, once the Avenue de la Liberté had been laid out (1904). Its clock tower and front façade are reminiscent of church architecture, but the glass roofing, which doubled its surface area in 2011, is unapologetically contemporary. When you exit the station, take the footbridge (on the right) that spans the tracks to get a look at the two metallic rotundas (1875), which have been turned into a venue for cultural events.
