Useful information

Description

Fort Thüngen (18C), which boasts three towers crowned with acorn-shaped stones, houses the newest of Luxembourg's museums. Arranged in the casemates, some 600 items and original documents retrace the history of the capital and its fortress. A long underground gallery (169m) leads to Fort Obergrünewald below. The surrounding Three-Acorn Park (Dräi Eechelen), a relaxing landscaped garden, was designed by Michel Desvigne and Christine Dalnoky.
